Navelink, owned by Kongsberg and Wärtsilä, governed by Combitech, will collaborate with Kristianstad University by entering their science program and Android App Development. The role of Navelink is to give the students at the program for Computer Science the challenge to create an app for Navelink as part of their examination assignment.

“It is exciting for Navelink to welcome the students into our team and to see what ideas they present”, says Anders Wendel, Head of Navelink. “With Kristianstad University being a future-oriented and innovative actor in academia, we feel confident that this collaboration will result in new insights and valuable features for Navelink. Simultaneously we strive to offer an opportunity for the students to grow and solidify their skillsets, through an experience that will prepare them for their next professional step.”

A start-up meeting with the four dedicated students was held in the beginning of December in order for the students to get to know Navelink, Combitech and most importantly to understand the challenge for which they are about to be a part of the solution.
